Our Academy is made up of highly trained staff with over 25 years experience in teaching and assessing
students seeking to gain qualifications and to further their careers in the childcare sector
We offer the Certificate and Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce which are both nationally recognised qualifications for childcare professionals. We have two intakes per year, in January and September. Enrolment needs to be completed one month before the start of a class.
Students are allocated a personal tutor, assessor and mentor throughout there period of study with us.
Formal teaching takes place on Saturdays and our classes are limited to a minimum of 12 and a maximum
of 15 learners, in order to maximise the learning experience.
The teaching is supplemented by practical hand-on experience working in a Nursery for a minimum of 15 hours per week for 40 weeks.
Students are monitored and assessed throughout this practice hours
Happy Tree is the only Nursery in Hillingdon to have its own in-house training Academy. The Nursery is enhanced by the extra input
of students (in addition to the full time staff) allowing many more extra curricular activities for the children.
Happy Tree Nursery has a policy of employing the most outstanding graduates from the Academy ensuring that that the highest quality
and latest practices are adopted throughout the nursery.
